Adani Petronet (Dahej)Port Pvt Ltd (APDPPL), is a joint venture between Adani Group & Petronet LNG Limited. Strategically located in the gulf of Khambhat thereby having access to dense industrial areas of Gujarat and Maharashtra (North) & central MP. Only commercial terminal in GMB port of Dahej handling solid cargos in bulk /break bulk and also project cargo. • Mechanized berth with conveyor handling system for handling coal in bulk at very fast evacuation rate of 4200 MT / Hr. • Two deep draft berths capable of handling up to mini cape size vessels.

Anchorage Area Anchor positions are provided by the Gulf of Khambhat VTMS. Dahej marine environment is challenging because of its large tidal variation and very strong tidal currents. Due to this in past vessels have lost their anchors hence for the safety of deep draft loaded vessels Gulf of Khambat VTMS is advising vessels to anchor at outer port limit (OPL) which is about 90NM / 12hrs from the Dahej port limits.

Adani (APDPPL) terminal pilot boarding ground is 1.25 NM west of terminal i.e. LAT- 021°41.0' N, LON- 072°29.15' E.

Navigation Details :


1. Berthing will be suspended when average wind speed exceeds 30 knots or wind is gusting above 35 knots.
2. Un-berthing will be suspended when average wind speed exceeds 35 knots or wind is gusting above 40knots.
3. Berthing and Un-berthing will also be suspended if the wave height is more than 02 meters.
4. Minimum UKC not below 10% of the deepest draft in the approaches and not below 0.5 meters of the deepest draft at the berth.
5. The actual decision depends on many factors, which can only be assessed by the pilot and the Master. The above parameters may not therefore be strictly observed by the Pilot, if in his professional judgment and in consultation with the Master, more or less restrictive parameters should apply to ensure the safe maneuvering of the vessel.
5. For entry and any guidance regarding navigation in Gulf of Khambhat, please contact VTMS Khambhat on VHF Ch. 10/69, on arrival within communication range of VTMS Hazira. The vessel entering the Dahej Port limit must report to the Port control on Ch-73 or 16. VTMS also guides vessels regarding anchoring position. If anchoring, drop anchor as per VTMS instructions.



Cargo Handling & Loading & Discharing Rate


A) Being berthed for coal discharge at the mechanized North berth with discharge by 2 shore cranes/grabs/unloader with discharge rate around 30-35000 MT/day-
B) Being berthed at non-mechanized South berth –sub to receivers approval/port planning where discharge by 2 shore cranes/grabs with discharge rates around 10-15000 MT/day-AGW.

A. GROUND HANDLING EQUIPMENT
Dumpers, Pay loaders and Stackers used for quick transfer of Cargo between storage area and berths.
B. HARBOR CRANES
North Berth - 2 Rail Mounted Liebherr make cranes (SWL – 75 MT each in hook mode). South Berth - 2 Rail Mounted Gottwald make cranes (SWL – 80 MT each in hook mode).
C. EQUIPMENT: IMPORT CONVEYOR SYSTEM
Conveyor Within Port : Length (3.74 + 5.04) 8.78 Km & Capacity 4200/5600 TPH. Conveyor speed is 4.35 mtr/sec.
D. EQUIPMENT: STACKER / RE-CLAIMER
2 Nos. of Stacker cum Re-claimer: Capacity: 4200 TPH / 2500 TPH.
E. TUGS
Two tugs of Japanese make Dolphin 6 and Dolphin 8. Each having the capacity of 55 tons bollard pulls with twin engine and twin propeller. The engines of the tugs are 2200 BHP with Z- pellar system. Both tugs are fitted with Half FiFi.

2) PILOTAGE CHARGES :
A) Pilotage Charges (Coal and Project Cargo) :: $ 1.6359 per GRT ( Minimum $ 925)
B) Pilotage Charges (all other cargo vessels) :: $ 0.96863per GRT (Minimum $ 615)

3) FUEL SURCHARGE ON PILOTAGE: $ 0.066490 Per GRT

4) BERTH HIRE CHARGES :
A) Berth hire charges (Coal and Project Cargo) :: $ 0.02032 per GRT per hour (Minimum Charges $ 820per Day)
B) Berth hire charges (all other cargo vessels) :: $ 0.00923 per GRT per hour (Minimum Charges $ 820 per Day)

5) ANCHORAGE CHARGES

Anchorage charges will be applicable for all vessels anchoring within Port limits
1. For berthing: From the time of vessel dropping anchor till the time the pilot board
2. For sailing: From the time of vessel dropping anchor till anchor away.

7) PORT ENVRONMENT PROTECTION SAFETY CHARGES: $ 0.0125 per GRT

8) INDIAN LIGHT HOUSE DUES : INR 7.5 per NRT
