#No. 1 Haldia Oil Jetty:
Vessels are restricted to an LOA of 170 meters and a draft of 7.0 meters.
#No. 3 Haldia Oil Jetty:
Vessels are restricted to an LOA between 120 and 135 meters and a draft of 7.0 meters.
#General Draft:
Port-permissible draft is determined based on LOA, with circulars issued monthly for specific restrictions.
#Movement Restrictions:
All vessels must move to or from berths, moorings, or anchorages as ordered by designated authorities, with additional restrictions for sea-going vessels below Garden House Point.
#Speed Restrictions:
Inland steam-vessels between Howrah Bridge and Garden House must proceed at a moderate speed.

Kolkata Dock System (KDS): 16.856 MMT (slight decrease from 17.052 MMT in FY 2022–23)
#Mobile Harbor Cranes (MHCs): NSD has three MHCs, each capable of handling 20 containers per hour.
#Cantilever Crane: A 125 ft tall cantilever crane handles 200 tonne over-dimensional project cargo.
#Container Freight Stations (CFSs): Five CFSs are located at NSD, including privately owned ones by Century Ply and government-owned ones.
#Berths: NSD has three MHC berths and two non-MHC berths.
#Floating Cranes: Floating cranes like MV Yugalraj and MV Viganraj are used for deep sea cargo unloading, particularly coal.
#Dry Bulk Cargo Terminal: HDC has four berths for coking coal and one for thermal coal.
