Situated outside city limits, Katupalli offers 24x7 congestion-free approach roads for seamless movement of cargo offering a wide basket of services such as a dedicated yard for Direct Port Delivery clearance, Direct Port Entry for factory stuffed/self-sealed export-laden containers and flexible carting. It is well connected to cargo clusters, national highways and container freight stations. Katupalli also boasts of an on-dock CFS within its own premises for providing value added services to the trade.

#Capacity:
Kattupalli Port currently has a capacity of 25 MMTPA. Adani Ports has proposed an expansion to increase this capacity to 320 MMTPA.

#Berthing:
The port has three berths, Berth-1 (353 meters), and Berth-2 & 3 (combined 654 meters).

#Vessels:
The port can handle container vessels up to 390 meters in length, car carriers up to 230 meters, bulk carriers up to 289 meters, and tankers up to 275 meters.

#Cargo Handling:
Kattupalli Port is equipped to handle containers, break bulk, project cargo, and liquid cargo.

#Connectivity:
The port has good road, rail, sea, and air connectivity. It's connected to all CFSs, Logistics Parks, and SEZs in Chennai.

#Expansion:
Adani Ports has proposed a massive expansion of Kattupalli Port, which would increase the port's total capacity from 25 MMTPA to 320 MMTPA, including 71 MMTPA for coal and 65 MMTPA for crude oil and fossil gas.
